Our Wellbeing
Pastoral care and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do at Hunter Hall. We provide a warm and inclusive learning environment where every member of the school community feels valued, recognising that children perform at the best in all areas when they feel happy and safe.
A holistic approach
Our approach to pastoral care and wellbeing, led by Form Teachers but involving all staff, ensures a deep understanding of each pupil. We nurture self-awareness and emotional intelligence so that children develop an understanding of themselves as learners and as individuals, enabling them to flourish, both at Hunter Hall and beyond.
We have a dedicated wellbeing room, which provides a light, open space for the children to use, overseen by our Assistant Head Wellbeing.
Wellbeing is taught explicitly through weekly PSHE, Wellbeing and myHappymind sessions.
