A school with a different and innovative approach to education.

Tomorrow Starts Here.

Our Story

Forty years ago, a group of local parents gathered around a dining table to imagine a different kind of school. Their vision came to life when, not long after, the school opened its doors for the first time, though not into a traditional classroom, but into the sitting room of founding Headmaster, Mr. Aidan Warlow.

Hunter Hall School Pre-School Read

From the start, Hunter Hall was intended not only to offer something different, but something innovative. The school’s independence meant that it could be imaginative in its approach to teaching and learning, not only in terms of what the children learnt but also how and where they learnt.

At Hunter Hall, the focus has always been on the whole child. We continue, of course, to prioritise intellectual development, but we also consider social and emotional development, the development of a child’s character (as it would have been described when the school first opened), to be of equal importance.

Our priorities are intended to ensure that pupils leave Hunter Hall equipped with the knowledge, skills and habits they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Our Vision for 2025 and Beyond

As we approach our 40th anniversary at Hunter Hall, we find ourselves reflecting not only on where we’ve come from, but also where we are going. Over the last four decades, our school has evolved into what you see today: a unique place where every child can discover the joy of learning.

But we are conscious that we can’t stand still. Today’s fast-changing world means we need to continue to evolve to meet the needs of our children and families going forward.

Our plan for Hunter Hall’s future is grounded in a powerful idea – that education doesn’t just prepare children for the next stage of their journey – it shapes the lives they’ll lead.
