U9 House Hockey

It was great to have our U9s down on the astro-turf last Friday for a thrilling afternoon of hockey. Harrison and Zara showed their prowess with a hockey stick while their Foxes teammate, Matilda, proved to be a goal-scoring machine. Following their success in the rugby, Hares found the going tough and Badgers produced narrow victories over both Foxes and Hares ensuring they finished 2nd . However, it was to be Squirrels day, 2 late goals from Matthew securing a draw with Hares to see them finish the afternoon with 2 wins and a draw, one-point clear of Badgers.

1st Squirrels - 7pts,

2nd Badgers- 6pts,

3rd Foxes- 4pts,

4th Hares- 1 pt

U11 House Hockey

With every team producing impressive displays, this house tournament could have gone to anyone. Hares and Squirrels drew 2-2, Stefan was instrumental in most of Hares’ attacking play while Sophia proved a constant threat up front. Hares kicked on with two more wins which was enough to see them crowned champions. Badgers were solid at the back with Lucy Ha and Francesca stoic in their approach, while Samuel was tenacious in the tackle and skilful on the ball. Squirrels battled hard in every game drawing two and losing one to Foxes. It was fabulous to see a high skill level being displayed and even more pleasing to see the fine sportsmanship that accompanied the competitive nature of every game. In the end the final results were a reverse of the U9 competition.

1 st Hares- 7pts,

2nd Foxes- 5 pts,

3rd Badgers 4 pts,
