Hunter Hall U11 Football Festival

On Wednesday 21st March we welcomed 5 local schools (Bolton, Culgaith, Appleby, Long Marton & Beaconside) for a festival of football. The afternoon provided all the children with a chance to develop their football skills in a competitive environment. All the games proved to be closely contested and were packed full of impressive phases of play.

Queen Margaret’s Sports Festival

The U11 netball team had an early start on Friday to travel to Queen Margaret’s School in York for a long day of hard netball competition with a cross country race thrown into the middle to keep the girls on their toes, followed by a swim in the indoor heated swimming pool. It was an action packed day with lots of activities and fun!

Year 6 Manchester Velodrome Trip

​A very special trip was organised for our Year 6 class on Monday, as they travelled down to Manchester to experience a velodrome track riding session and a tour of Great Britain’s national cycling centre. What made the day truly memorable and extra special, was the lucky coincidence that the elite GB athletes came on to train as soon as we left the track and Hunter Hall had the opportunity to watch the world’s best!

Carlisle Festival Results

​We are delighted to report that once more, our involvement in this annual event has been most successful. In addition to our group entries, many Hunter Hall children from Year 1 to Year 6 signed up to take part in individual classes. Furthermore, leading up to the festival, our children learned and rehearsed Action Songs, two Choir pieces, and Instrument Ensemble performances, successfully juggling rehearsals both at home and in school with their academic work, involvement in sports fixtures and after-school clubs.
