The Sunday Times has once again published the top 100 best performing independent preparatory schools in England, sighting Hunter Hall School in Penrith as 67th – up 33 places since 2017.
The paper, published last Sunday lists the top 100 Schools based on aggregated average scaled scores achieved by children in reading, grammar and maths taken from SATs taken in 2017 from Preparatory schools across England, of which there are over 600 schools who are members of the Independent Schools Association. The Times also published the top 250 state primary schools.
Donna Vinsome, Head Teacher at Hunter Hall School commented,
“To make the Top 100 list last year was great, but to make the list again this year and move up to 67th position is marvellous. Our dedicated subject specialist teachers work tirelessly to ensure that every child reaches their potential, inspiring them to learn in a supportive, caring, homely environment. Everything we do at Hunter Hall has one purpose – to enable children to discover and embrace the joy of learning. I am so very proud of them all”
Hunter Hall is one of only four schools based in the North West of England to make the Top 100 and the only school in Cumbria to make the list from both the state and independent sector.
